Here is where I tried to buy a ticket from one of the machines pictured to the left. Italian ticket machines are notorious for being broken. It wouldn't receive my large bills. That explained why people were standing in line to talk to people in the customer service booths. So I stood in line, large bill in hand, Italian phrase ready, ready to ask what I needed, exchange items, and be on my way so as to save my time and the time of others. However the people behind the counter did not have change. So, I had to make a credit card transaction. It's the little things that make things work efficiently. If they took a little bit of time to audit their processes, I think they could make significant improvements.
